Set the trailing edge on the back side of the featherboard to 3/8" from the left side of the blade.

Move the fence, pushing the edge of the board so the board just touches the stop. Lock the fence.

Make the cut.

Joint the edge of the board.
Repeat Steps 1-3 until you have the number of slats needed.
