We explored the southern section of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore and stayed the night in Empire, MI. I first saw Lake Michigan in Chicago, in the early to mid 1980s. I remember it being a pretty nasty, poluted, site. The Lake here was crystal clear.....very surprising!
