April 27 We took a lunch break at Brazos Bend State Park to check out the gators and birds. Then, on to Galveston Island State Park

Lots of sargassum on the beach. Volume increased the longer we stayed. The Gulf stayed very choppy. It was OK to wade and get our feet wet, but we would have been pounded if we had tried to get to swimming depth. Plus, they did...
