A quick fishing trip to Northern NM 07/25-28/2025

July 24 - 28 We hauled the camper NW and spent a couple of nights in Cimarron Canyon State Park and a couple more at Elephant Rock National Forest Service Campground near Red River. The fishing wasn't great, but the cool mornings, beautiful skies, and wonderful scenery was absolutely worth it.
Any day is a good day to go fishing. It's even better when the weather is like this! We tried every combination we could and nary a bite. But, the water was crystal clear and it was dead calm Eagle Nest Lake State Park
