IMG_7711 There was a top plate scabbed in to connect the top of the door to the soffit. It was nailed with 4-penny nails in 3 places to the top of the door frame.

"Brick moulding" is not available, so I did my own with standard pine. Ready for sanding and then the quarter-round to seal the final gap on the edges.
